Home to the Chocolate Bar, the atrium is a central meeting place for ĀŅĀ׊”æÉ°® students, faculty, and staff. In her remarks, Caren Demoulas said the foundation chose the spot in honor of Telemachus and Irene.
āNone of this would be possible without my parents, Mike and Irene, who were so proud to be connected with ĀŅĀ׊”æÉ°®,ā said Demoulas. āSeven of us attended ĀŅĀ׊”æÉ°®. The Demoulas Commons carries on my parentsā love and gratitude, particularly because itās in a place used by so many.
āItās fitting that itās also a spot where people can grab a bite to eat and gather for conversation,ā added Demoulas. āMy parents were all about fostering community.ā
University President William P. Leahy, S.J., thanked the Demoulas family for supporting ĀŅĀ׊”æÉ°®ās commitment to the liberal arts and humanities through this meaningful space in ĀŅĀ׊”æÉ°®ās main humanities building.
